Hope Sabbath School – Drawing People Closer to Jesus

Would you like to be part of an in-depth, interactive study of the Word of God? Then check out the Hope Sabbath School on Hope Channel. The mission of Hope Sabbath School is to teach the Word of God, draw people closer to Jesus, and help others to do the same.

Shot on location at the Forest Lake Adventist Church in Apopka, Florida, senior pastor Dr. Derek Morris leads a lively interactive study with twelve young adults.
“The goal of Hope Sabbath School is to provide an in-depth study for those who are unable to attend weekly Sabbath School discussions and provide a resource for Sabbath school teachers,” said Derek.

The feedback from Hope Sabbath School viewers has been tremendous! “We’ve heard from Hope Channel viewers in Zambia, Venezuela, Australia, South Africa, North America, and many other parts of the world,” says Derek. Responses have arrived via e-mail from trained teachers, church members, and those who have never heard of Sabbath School. Here’s what some viewers are saying:

A viewer from Norway writes: “I feel so blessed since I was able to receive Hope Channel and watch Hope Sabbath School Bible study every Friday evening. This particular evening has now become what it used to be when I was a child: the most special night of the week…It has transformed Fridays  and Saturdays for me. Thank you.”

Ron from West Virginia shares: “I just enjoyed your Hope Sabbath School program this morning as you began the new quarter’s lesson titled, ‘Discipleship.’ I live out of the way of most people’s travels in a hilly region of West Virginia. I thank God for your ministry, especially this new Hope Sabbath School series. Often you are my only lifeline with God’s church.”

Directed by media pastor, Patty Hofer, Hope Sabbath School is produced by a team of almost 50 volunteers. The team includes a pool of about 25 class participants and 25 media team members. Volunteers also work on logistics, make-up, stage set-up and design, and refreshments.

“Every member of the Hope Sabbath School team is vitally important,” says Derek. “Team members sense God’s presence and blessing. When you are a part of a miracle, your own life is changed!”
