Art. Music. Food. Bring them together and it could be a cultural extravaganza.
Feature them in the context of highlighting Christ and His principles for a blessed life, and you’ve got three new series of inspirational, informative programs on Hope Channel.
Viewers can look forward to “The Master’s Brush,” “Naturally Gourmet,” and a new season of “My Story, My Song” beginning in 2010.
“The Master’s Brush” features the paintings of Nathan Greene and the stories behind his art that often portray Jesus in modern day settings,” says Kandus Thorp, Hope Channel’s vice president for programming and international development. “Viewers will learn the stories behind the art, why the works were commissioned, and who was affected.”
Another feature of the series will be a behind-the-scenes look at Greene’s creative process and his use of living models.
“Naturally Gourmet” is a 14-part cooking series that will be released in January featuring Karen Houghton, RN and nutrition educator. Dr. Wes Youngberg, a founding director of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, will share information on health studies as well as nutritional facts in this upbeat cooking show that combines healthy eating with good taste. A companion cookbook will also be available.
The return of “My Story, My Song” Hope Channel’s popular inspiration and music program, will feature artists from around the world including the Dan Oliver family, Chris Picco, and the music ministry at Loma Linda University Campus Church. There will also be 20 shows featuring music by Brazilian Adventist artists.
Hope Channel continues to find ways to reach a broad audience with programming that appeals to different segments of the population. Hope Channel’s producers and their teams appreciate your prayers and support as they continue to tell the story of Jesus and bring people closer to Him.
