I'm an artist and I have not been cultivating my talent. This program has reminded me that I was given this talent for a reason. As a child I wanted to illustrate like Lars Justinen for Guide Magazine. I didn't know about Nathan Greene. Mary was scanning through various TV channels at 3:00 a.m. and found Hope Sabbath School with Pastor Derrick Morris. Since she found this channel, she has stopped watching other channels and now mostly watches Hope Channel. In her words, it has led her closer to Jesus. She looked up a couple of Seventh-day Adventist churches in the area in her phonebook. She was very impressed with the teachings of the church and how the sermons were Christ-centered. Mary comes from a background of homosexuality in the late ’90s and has a smoking habit, but wants to change. She last attended church in 2006 where she visited the Church of Scientology. However, all along she was searching for a relationship with Jesus. Raised as a Methodist, Mary was assured that despite our past we can be renewed into the perfect and pure image of Jesus Himself (1 John 1:7). She is currently 62 years old. She hopes that Jesus will be her defense attorney and when the time comes He will look beyond her flaws and recognize her desire for change. She will be starting Bible studies soon with a Seventh-day Adventist church member. –VP, Phone Center Chaplain

Good gracious, goodness me, good Lord.  Thank you everyone for this last week’s broadcasts. I now feel properly a full member of the Seventh-day Adventist worldwide church. I watched Hope Channel…for about three years before I looked and found our local church in South Australia. (Hope Channel has been) a life saver for me after leaving the Salvation Army after 13 years. I wanted the truth from the Bible and I was not satisfied at all anywhere else. God bless our founders and God bless all of our members for such an honest-to-goodness Christian fellowship. The absolute sincerity that I have found in my church and the ability to communicate the essential relationship with Christ Himself was what I needed. I had felt so alone. I thank the Lord God always for directing my path exactly when I could assimilate all the goodness I was learning. My wife and I were in several denominations. We were never really filled with the Holy Spirit and asked questions that nobody could answer. We joined one denomination after another but never found what we were looking for. In 2003 I met a Seventh-day Adventist man who told us about the church. We bought the Hope Channel receiver and since then we are educated by satellite.
