Parenting Children for Healthy Interracial Relationships - Elaine and Willie Oliver

The traumatic events of the last few weeks in the United States have dominated conversations in our homes and public spaces around the world. As Christian parents we have the responsibility and opportunity to teach our children how to appreciate the beautiful diversity of all God’s children. Talking about race is very difficult for most adults and even more difficult to talk with children on issues about race. However, we must find ways to talk about race with our children because they will learn from our spoken and unspoken messages. This program will follow a question and answer format in addressing how parents can talk to their children and teens about healthy relationships with people from racial groups other than their own.
