2 C cold water


2 C cashews


½ C tahini


2 T salt


2 t onion powder


½ t garlic powder


4 T lemon juice


2 T diced green pepper


3 C boiling water




Blend cashews with cold water until silky smooth.


Add tahini and blend.


Add seasonings, lemon juice and green bell pepper. till combined.


Pour boiling water into saucepan, add blended mixture, stirring continuously and simmer until thickened.


Serve hot or cold.


Freezes well.


May be used for pizza, macaroni cheese, as a dip for corn chips or vegetable sticks, etc.
