HUMMUS

Ingredients

 

1 can chickpeas (retaining half the liquid)

 

2 cloves garlic

 

2 tablespoons olive oil

 

2 tablespoons tahini (sesame butter)

 

Juice of one lime

 

A few shakes of salt

 

Options:

 

Cayenne pepper

 

Olives

 

Peanut butter substitute for tahini

 

Cumin

 

Directions:

 

Combine all ingredients in the food processor and blend until smooth.

 

Serve with:

 

Corn chips

 

beans and rice

 

on a baked potato instead of sour cream

 

as a sandwich spread
