Granola

Ingredients

 

4 C quick oats

 

1 C raw sunflower seeds, hulled

 

1-1/2 C unsweetened coconut

 

1 C wheat germ

 

1 C chopped nuts

 

½ C olive oil

 

1 Tbsp vanilla extract

 

½ C agave nectar

 

1 tsp blackstrap molasses

 

¼ t almond extract

 

Directions:

 

Mix dry ingredients in large bowl:

 

In small saucepan, heat the following:

 

½ C olive oil

 

1 Tbsp vanilla extract

 

½ C agave nectar

 

1 tsp blackstrap molasses

 

¼ t almond extract

 

Add wet to dry ingredients and mix well until coated.

 

Bake @ 350°F in roasting tray for 15 min.

 

Turn granola halfway through cooking and watch carefully until lightly golden brown.

 

Remove from oven and add dried fruit, i.e. raisins, cranberries, dried apples while warm.

 

Cool and store in airtight container.
