Artichokes with Herbs and lemon

Ingredients

 

2 Artichokes

 

2 tsp minced garlic

 

2 tsp chopped rosemary

 

2 tsp chopped oregano

 

1 tsp olive oil

 

Juice of 1 lemon

 

 

 

Directions

 

Trim artichokes by removing about ¾ (2 cm) from the tips and end.

 

Cut artichokes in half.

 

Steam artichokes for 35 minutes.

 

Remove, lay cut side up, and brush with olive oil.

 

Grill cut-side-down for 10 minutes.

 

Turn, and sprinkle cut side with 2 tsp each minced garlic, rosemary, and oregano.

 

Grill 5 minutes more.

 

Squeeze fresh lemon juice over artichokes.

 

Serve hot or cold.
