Today we are looking at Mary’s song or... prayer - she’s responded with faith to the news that she will carry and raise the King of Kings, Jesus. Elizabeth has pronounced a blessing over her, and now, we find her praising the Almighty for who He is having been mindful of her state.

Promises Fulfilled
Last week we left Mary right after she was told by an angel that she would conceive unconventially and give birth to King Jesus. Her response was recorded in Luke 1:38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. Next we find her visiting family, and she’s greeted with our focus for today.

Today we are remembering U.S. Independence Day. Our country is celebrating its birthday this month. This year, the U.S. turns 243 years old on the 4th of July.
