Footsteps of the Reformers: 2020

See important Reformation sites throughout Europe with guides Derek & Bodil Morris and Gerard & Laurel Damsteegt

July 16-30, 2020

The Experience

  • Trace the heritage of faith in Europe, from its apostolic roots, through the Dark Ages, to the Reformation.
  • See the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation validated.
  • Explore Roman Forums, the Colosseum, and the Catacombs; imagine the conditions of Mamertine Prison where both Peter and Paul planted the seeds of truth during their last days.
  • Experience the grandeur of the Vatican; visualize Luther on the Scala Sancta and his moment of truth regarding the role of faith in the Christian’s life.
  • Stand where Luther stood when he could do no other but obey God’s Word.
  • Follow the Waldensians through their mountains, valleys, and secluded caves, educating their children in biblical truth and standing by faith on God’s Word despite persecution and death.
  • Climb to the Castle of Canossa where Pope Gregory VII exercised his supreme power to humiliate Emperor Henry IV.
  • Be moved by the fortitude of other reformers, such as Calvin, Huss, and Jerome.
  • Visit Paris where the repression of the Reformation resulted in the French Revolution.
  • And... see what God is doing today in the Waldensian Valleys!
